British Menswear designer Alex Wolfe graduated with a Masters in Fashion Menswear from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in 2020 and has gained industry experience working for Walter Van Beirendonck, SHOWstudio and fellow alumnus, Gareth Pugh. Wolfe was the first recipient of the Self-Portrait scholarship and was selected to show during London Fashion Week – for Autumn/Winter ’20, his collection utilised dead stock wool for tailoring and recycled stretch fabrics, and was featured in the Vogue.com article ‘Editors on Their Favourite Moments From The Fall 2020 Shows.’

Born in South London, a high-energy fusion of cultural influences inspire Wolfe’s exploration of concepts surrounding ‘Britishness’ and ‘masculine’ identities. Striking a balance between technical innovation and conceptual expression, Wolfe playfully subverts and manipulates traditional menswear tailoring and sportswear, proposing a sleek new identity for men with an emphasis on everyday elegance with a twist.

In 2021, Alex Wolfe X BIRKENSTOCK launched in stores globally and online gaining international fashion press such as Vogue US/UK/Germany/Italy, L’Officiel Paris/US, i-D, WWD, Hypebeast, W Mag and more. In 2020, Wolfe was announced the Menswear winner of the Artsthread 2020 Global Design Graduate Show sponsored by Gucci.
